OMGosh esp during extreme seasons (summer & Winter)... I do these things to help reduce the amount of foot cracking I endure during these times.
1. Wash my feet more with a mild soap (Ivory, non/low scented gels, etc) in warm water (not cold and not hot) - does not have to be in the tub/shower either.
2. Pat dry bottoms, rub sides.
3. Apply hydrating lotion, and "massage" in
4. dress feet in breathable cotton socks before donning shoes / flip flops only good for short walkercise (so George Bush of me!)
5. most importantly I drink more WATER... your feet cracking is a sign of not enough fluids, esp water. I use the hydrated lotion so that my feet immediately have moisture to absorb while I get around to the water drinking portion of my day.
