I've learned to live with it, but when it really gets bad, especially in the winter months is my worse time for it, I will put Moisturize on thick, not vaseline, but a hand creme, and then put on a pair of clean socks.. my feet soaks it up as I have very dry skin and at times will wear those socks even the next day.. then by night take them off..
with each day wearing clean socks are important..as someone else mention you do not want to get dirt inside them.
Also if you have a foot spa, soak them in that if you do not, soak them in the tub or a pan of some kind.. dry them off extremely good, and put the Moisturize on them.
When I take my showers/bath I have a scub I use to put on the heels, which will help remove the scaly skin as when you have scaly skin it more easier for them to peel and crack.
hope this helps..
