Although I am not new here, BarBar reminded me that I had not introduced myself..so here goes....my name is Lisa and I am 47 years old and live in the midwest...I have a husband of 15plus years, and a 12 and 1/2 year old son, whom we adopted at the age of 3...I am interested in crafting, and organizing.. that's where I met BarBar... i taught severely physically and mentally handicapped children, who also were medically fragile, for 22 years, and had to quit teaching due to illness in 2005..it was one of the hardest things I ever had to do... I spend lots of my time now trying to take care of myself, trying to learn more about my illnesses, and 'fighting' with our insurance company and for my disability with our teacher's retirement system.... I am housebound most of the time, and am hoping that a new medication that I am taking will help me have some energy.. to do activities with my family and to practice my crafts.. I look forward to talking to lots of nice people, and to sharing experiences and advice...Lisas
