| popped vein
I was admitted into A+E last week and stayed in hospital over night, but dr's always find it really hard to get blood out of me.
The dr in casualty tried a few times and managed to pop a vein in my hand (by my baby finger). We knew it had popped because it hissed and made a backfiring sort of noise.
The area came up like it had a mini golf ball under it. I showed the dr who took the blood and he immediately pressed on it to flatten the lump (pooled blood)
A week later it is painful to touch the area by my baby finger and the ring finger.
Do you think it needs to be looked at or maybe wait a little longer as it is only a week since?
