I forget who gave the tip on how to oil a shredder in Tips and something thread but I think they said to oil two sheets of paper, let it soak into the paper and then run the paper through the shredder.

I guess I don't know how much shredding. For bills and mail I collect about a grocery bag once a month. If I were to make mulch it would be much more, instead of recycling for free newspapers that I've paid for, then I would need a shredder that could handle about 4 inches thick of newspaper once a week (but not all at once!)

We had one at work that would do a CD. It was a Fellowes.
