Frugal today was turning a roll recipe into a roll AND bread recipe. I like to make
Amanda's pull-apart dinner rolls but for some reason I get SO much dough in the batch. Her recipe says 1 dozen but I get at least 18. So this time I made a dozen rolls and since we are out of loaf bread, I shaped the rest of the dough for a loaf of bread. This way if anyone wants toast in the morning, we'll be all set. (And this is a good roll recipe to make if you are pressed for time, because there is no rise after shaping. You just bake them right away. So it saves an hour!)
