Mom Life online show/podcast

MOMS EVERYWHERE, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU

“Jen and Barb, Mom Life,” the first interactive online show created by and for modern moms, debuted on November 10. The groundbreaking show is slated to run for 42 weeks, with new episodes being uploaded 2-3 times a week.

“Jen and Barb, Mom Life” stars two real Los Angeles moms, Jennifer Pate and Barb Machen, who put themselves and their families on the line as they deal with what it means to be a mom today, using their own life experiences, experts and online submissions from other moms as the basis of the show.

Produced by Jen and Barb, distributed by BBE (Broadband Enterprises Inc.) and sponsored by SC Johnson as well as Kraft, “Jen and Barb, Mom Life” creates a unique forum for females across the country to share their thoughts about how motherhood changes women. Each of the themed, 4–5 minute episodes features “life in the trenches of motherhood,” as Jen and Barb riff on everything from careers to husbands to the mix of emotions in disciplining kids, along with discussions with experts about the daily issues, challenges, and joys of motherhood.

“It came about when I became a mom and had no idea who to turn to,” says Jen Pate. “Barb and I found each other, began exchanging ideas, and realized there must be millions of moms like us out there yearning for someone to talk to.”

“This show is for them,” Barb agreed. “Forget all the help books and lectures. We’re moms talking to each other. If this helps even one more mom out there to feel good about herself and realize she’s not alone, it’s worth it.” Barb added that moms everywhere would be encouraged to submit their own thoughts, videos, songs, etc. about “what works” for in their own lives, which could be added to upcoming episodes.
