One thing we do at Xmas is to do a goodie exchange.There is 6 of us and we each bake 6 dozen of something ie short bread . butter tarts ,brownies .date squares. etc this gives us a variety of 6 different goodies .but our shopping list only has to include the items for 1 goodie saves time as well as money.
