Interesting that this thread popped up. I'm struggling with my DD a bit. it's been about 2 years now, I thought it was just a phase, but she doesn't eat most meat. She'll ear tacos with hamburger meat and chili, but almost nothing else. She loathes steak and roasts, won't touch pork chops and is getting truly sick of chicken, which is almost the only thing she'll eat. I tried cooking some tofu for her and those little veggie patties but neither went over well.
We have a rule that the kids need to be home for dinner, but we never eat fish and we eat a lot of beef. I need to figure out how to get more protein into her without having to make an entirely separate meal for her!
Here's some of the things she will eat when we have them:
Chili
Tacos
Chicken Quesadillas
Pasta (she picks out the meat from the sauce)
chicken stir fry
I'm sure there's more, but that's what I can think of right now. At dinner she'll take a helping of vegies, bread and potatoes or rice, but rarely eats the meat. I'd really like to be able to throw something together for her that she will eat that won't be a big deal. Things like cheese quesadillas in the microwave or some sort of bean dish.
Any ideas??
