My boys are "all boy". We live in a wooded area and love the woods. For my oldest son, his bday is in the winter so we went to an archery place a town over and they had a bday party package for 12 kids including bow shooting instruction, games with popping balloons, cake and beverage for $99. It was great.
My second sons bday is August so we had a survival party (not like the tv show). We had stations set up to practice BBgun (all instructed by a dad in each station), sling shot, bow and arrow, and because we needed a fourth station ( didn't want more than 3 kids per station at any time) we had boomerang in the front yard for fun. Then we had a bonfire with hotdogs/marshmellows. I set out plastic bugs that glowed in the dark and they had to find them with flashlights. Then they stayed in the tent overnight.
They all had a good time and it was cheap.
