This is a common problem for both Compuserve and AOL users. About 1/3 of the newsletter subscribers are from these two groups. There is a solution, though it does have its drawbacks as well.

I can create links that are clickable for AOL users. However when I do that, they will show up as "raw html code" for everyone else. If I were to put AOL friendly links in the newsletter, while they would look fine for AOL and Compuserve, they will look like this for everyone else:

HTML Code:
GROCERY CHALLENGE SUMMER 2008
http://www.familycorner.com/forums/showthread.php3?t=22799
Welcome to our Grocery Budget Challenge! Anyone can
participate--just state your grocery budget for the month, and
then track your totals to see if you can beat your goal.

<a href=http://www.familycorner.com/forums/showthread.php3?t=22799>AOL click here</a>
Now what I can do is either include the AOL friendly links in the newsletter right after each regular link (this may appear quite messy) or I can include a section at the end of the newsletter for AOL friendly links.

So something that looks like this for non-AOL members...

HTML Code:
<a href=http://www.familycorner.com/forums/showthread.php3?t=22799>AOL click here</a>
will actually look like this for AOL and CS members

AOL click here
