I have a suggestion (already ran it by The Welcome Wagon, DeBora), what if she was to sort of interview each newcomer, ask a few question like what are your interests, do you have children, where they are from, etc, and post the newcomer in the newsletter? Not everyone goes to the introduce yourself thread on a regular basis, and this might get more of us in there to do some welcoming. DeBora is okay with it as long as you okay it.
