DH and I never contridict what the other says whether it's a punishment or if some one can go somwhere or do something. Even not in their teens.
If one of us is not sure how we should proceed we discuss it out of ear shot of the kids.
99% of the time we agree on what to do.
dh and I rarely argue we discuss but it never gets to argue stage.
We had one of these discussions this week as ds1 wanted to go somwhere we weren't happy about. After our discussion we told ds1 how we came to the conclusion as we always do and the answer was no.
