Basically the answer is as simple as people like receiving birthday greeting in the mail. They like to display them, show them to friends, etc.
As far as how much money you might spend on stamps, the club averages about 25 members. I think the most birthdays we had in one month was 4. There were also some months without any birthdays at all. You can buy notecards in a package of 10-20 with envelopes from the dollar store.

As fun as this sounds, I wont be able to join you all at this time for two reasons, 1) snail mail (I love showing off my e-cards as much as the snail mail as I have elderly family/friends not online), and 2) I notice the 70 post limit... and I just can''t seem to get the games postings up.
