As a child our family tradition was opening gifts on Christmas eve and then there was 1 present left by Santa that I would find on Christmas morning, so when I married and had children I just continued that. Since my kids are grown, everything happens Christmas eve here and Christmas day is spent dropping off cookies or muffins at the neighbors and making calls to out of town family and friends. I have GrandPuppies so they dont mind opening their gifts on Christmas eve, they only care that they get Stuff, giggle.
