I am still angry about this. I find it shocking that this department would PAY this officer on leave while he recklessly caused the tragic death of his K-9 partner! Then, after his arrest, they allow him to work!!! The worst he could get is $1,000 fine and up to 6 months in jail--that is IF he gets the full penalty!!! Is that all this poor animal is worth after all the training he went through, the obedience, and dying in the torturous heat?     |
