My question is, whether she is famous or not, why would anyone send somebody who is so mentally unstable that she is unable to stay in a jail, where there is a hospital? He sent her home, alone! What if she had killed herself? (Assuming I really believed that her condition was so bad, mentally, that she couldn't be kept in jail.)
Bottom line. If her mental condition was so bad that the sheriff said that he didn't know how to treat it, he should have told Paris Hilton that if she is really that emotionally ill, they would have to put her in a locked mental facility for a mandatory 72 hours for observation and assessment to determine what to do next. Everywhere in the US, that I am aware of, or at least what I was taught, time spent at the hospital can NOT be counted toward your sentence and NOR can it be considered toward good time if you are allowed to get out early for good behavior. |
