Hi all. How has it been going? Sorry I have been gone so long, no excuse but I have been reading what has been going on with all ya'll.

Kelly I am so sorry to hear that your M-I-L is in so much pain. I know with my F-I-L he would have days where he felt some better then have really bad days. It was really hard for him towards the end and they kept him heavily medicated on pain meds. So I do understand where you are coming from and it is hard to watch someone you love suffer.

Train thank you so much for all your funny e-mails and all your encouraging and kind words. You are such a friend. And yes I will be going back to school in the fall quarter, probably working during the day (I hope) and going to school in the evening.

I think since the Georgia III thread has gotten so big that it is really hard for Joyce to get on now with dial-up. So if ya'll wanted you could ask them to start a Georgia IV and Joyce could get back on again.

ditzy ya'll have done so well at saving for that truck, I really admire your hard work and patience in waiting for it. How is your granddaughter doing? Lacy is doing better and even looking for a job this summer.

Pag glad you are improving daily and doing your exercises, I know it is tough to make yourself do them. No one is crazy about exercise but you have extra reasons to follow the doctors orders so you can go kicking around again with your friends.

Our lifes are changing a lot over here. Jerry got word the other day that even thought he was told he was safe for a year he is being laid off June 30th, he has already received the paperwork and they have taken all his work away so he is really not working at all right now but being paid anyway. They are laying off around 15,000.00 around the country, they call it restructuring. Anyway we are trying not to worry but to trust the Lord instead. We are in a really good church now and have been going since Easter and we really love it and the people there. Not being in church for nearly 20 years God is really working in our lives right now and changing us. Michael got saved a few weeks ago and will be baptisted Sunday night. We will soon be putting the house on the market (I know we have only been here a year and yes I love it but.....) starting off somewhere else Jerry will probably only make about half of what he is making now and even with me working it will not be enough to stay in this house. The boys are both talking about sharing an apartment soon so we really won't need such a big house anyway and like I say God has a plan for us, we just have to pray until we find out what it is. We have enough put back to last about a year before we have to start cutting into savings or anything so that is the good part and IBM will send Jerry to school to study for anything he wants to learn so he is thinking about getting out of computers after 26 years and doing house inspections. Another friend of his that got laid off 2 years ago started doing this and is doing fairly well and that way he will be working for himself eventually. Well I will get on the porch when I can but with getting use to working a job after not working for 26 years and then going to school at night (trying to finish up and get an accounting degree) I won't have much time.

Elizabeth glad you are spending some quality time with the GS, that will mean so much to him as he gets older and looks back on these fun times for him.

martie are ya'll going home this summer? We are going to take 10 days around the first of July after the lay-off is official and head to Texas and then get busy when we get back.

Sharon your cabins look really nice, maybe next summer things will be settled enough for us that we can make a visit up there.

Ya'll have a great summer.
hugs,
mouse
