My mother felt the same way you do when I was 14 and for my 15 birthday she said I could get it done. She works closely to the ER and sees infections often. She made me aware and we made a deal, as soon as it got infected or I got out of line it would come out. I am now going on 16 and it is still in. I am proud my mom let me be an individual and not hold me back.
