Vivian,
What a tremendous blessing you're giving...and getting! I can't imagine how loved someone would feel when they receive a surprise basket of treats.

A teacher at my school did something similar, but all throughout the school year. He secretly bought people lunch, paid their 'snack' bills, left notes or treats in their mailboxes or on their desks. His little, secret kindnesses lifted everyone's spirits.

I have a friend who's attempted suicide twice since Thanksgiving and there just doesn't seem to be the right thing to say or do that will lift her spirits and help her see herself as a valuable person. A few surprise baskets here and there might be a small step in that direction.

Thanks for sharing such a thoughtful idea!
Sherrie
