My dining table is big oval clear laquered pine. It is the second table we bought, the first being a second hand melamime one. The oval is good as when the kids were little there were no corners for them to get caught on or hit their heads on. It's a nice sturdy one with 6 chairs with spindle backs (although these chairs legs have been glued back together many times) It usually has a table protector and table clothe but I'm going for a change at the moment with no cloths, cleared top and place mats.
Who uses table cloths and who uses place mats?
