Hi -
I have been a quilter for years but haven't had much chance lately to do it.

My suggestion to learn would be check to see if a school nearby offers an adult ed class, or a quilt/fabric store or even sometimes ladies church groups still do it. You might check to see if there is a quilt guild nearby & they can direct you to some classes. Some groups have mini-lessons at meetings or have smaller satelite groups.

Quilt binding is a bit tricky since it is usually cut on the bias and the corners should be mitered. I like Fons & Porter & Mimi Dietrich books for good info. If you can't find someone to help you, their books are good resources.
