Chocolate Crinkles

Melt in a medium saucepan:
1/2 cup shortening
4 squares unsweetened chocolate
Beat in until not grainy --
2 cup sugar
Beat in one at a time --
4 eggs
Add --
2 teaspoons vanilla
Mix together and then add to chocolate mix --
2 cup flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Mix well. Dough will be soft. Chill at least 3 hours. Make small balls from chilled dough. Roll balls in powdered sugar. You need to keep the dough cool as it so soft.
Place on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 10-12 min.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies

Mix in small bowl --Set aside
3 cup flour
1 cup cocoa powder
Cream togther--
1 cup butter or margerine
2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Add and mix well--
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
Add dry ingredients. Dough will be on the dry and stiff side.
Cut in half--
48 maraschino cherries (Reserve juice)
Frosting:
Melt together over medium heat--
12 oz chocolate chips
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
when melted add --
3 tablespoons cherry juice
Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
Place on a greased cookie sheet.
Press down in the center of each ball with thumb. Place a cherry half in indent.
Frost with chocolate mix.
Bake at 350 for 8-10 min.
If you don't like cherries you can leave the cherry off and still frost and bake.
Very good.

Oatmeal Fudge
Microwave Recipe
In a large microwaveable bowl melt--
1/2 cup butter or margerine
Add--
2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
Cook uncovered on high in microwave 5 min. Stir once about 1/2 through.
Add and stir in--
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 teaspoon vanilla
Add--
3 cup quick oats
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup chopped peanuts
Mix well. Pour into a greased 8x8" or 8x11" pan (Size of pan will detremine the thickness)
Chill well. Cut into 1" squares
Keep chilled or frozen.
