Hi. When I was younger and wanted a barbie house - my mom took a book shelf - just partical board - and turned that into my house! We got peel and stick floor tiles for the floors. We divided them into rooms by what the floor looked like. I know she hunted for a wall paper with a small print, but now you could easily find some great scrapbook paper that would make beatiful wall paper.
She marked where we wanted windows and Dad cut them with a jigsaw. It worked great! At that time they didn't have a good kitchen set for Barbie - so we even took some balsa wood and wood glue and made kitchen counters! Hopefully my daughter will want to play soon - so I can have some fun!
