Sugar Scrub Recipe

Sugar Scrub:
1 1/4 c. sugar (I use a combination)
1 c. light oil (sweet almond, frac. coconut, etc,)
Mix to consistency of wet sand. To use: scoop some out of jar and into small container. Apply to dry areas using a circular motion. Allow to set for a minute; rinse and pat dry. The sugar will exfoliate and the oil will absorb and soften.

As far as lotion goes, during the summer months I would just advise infusing calendula, chamomile and maybe some lavender in a non-greasy, light oil (like sesame). Add a bit of carrot seed eo and/or lavender eo. The carrot seed would be my first choice. Advise them not to apply heavily, but rather as needed. That way one won't have that "greasy feeling" that sometimes come with using lotions in the summer.

This recipe is from one of my fellow group members, eo is essential oil. I saw some eo's at Meijers today. I generally don't use them because they are so expensive.
