Martie, I agree with you, I'd have to have Bob, too, but only because I'd end up knocking Jillian up side her head before the week was over - that in your face motivation only makes me want to rebel and be defiant (my defiancy disorder/ADHD working there)!
Joyce, I have some stuff I need to get in the mail to you, but I can't find my address list from the porch so could you email or PM me with your snail mail addy. Pretty please?
Let's see, Keith is trying to get his motorcycle (it's a sazuki cruiser that looks alot like a harley) bought and between the dealership and the dadgum bank there is a mess of confusion. He's getting angry and frankly I am about over the whole thing. I just want him to get the darn thing so that I have the van full time and we don't have to play juggle the schedule. Especially with all the appointments the kids and I have lately.
WARNING!!!
I WILL BE EXPLAINING WHAT MY UPCOMING SURGERY WILL ENTAIL!!!
WARNING TMI AHEAD!!!
Ok, someone, I think Martie, asked about a uvulectomy. Well, yes technically the uvula does serve a purpose. It acts as a closer to the openings from nasal cavities when swallowing. It is also integral when speaking Hebrew, German & Farsi (Arabic Languages). Fortunately, you can adjust to swallowing without it and I don't speak Hebrew nor Farsi, and my German is poor at best. SOOoo, I should do fine without it for those purposes. The reason they are removing my tonsils is that I am walking around with constant infection and low grade sore throat and my tonsils are producing
tonsil stones (do not read if you have a weak stomach) at a maddening rate. My ENT is also removing my uvula at the same time as the tonsil removal and deviated septum realignment in order to stop my snoring and subsequent sleep apnea. He is also "shaving" down some boney protrusions in my nose - known as turbinates (you need these but mine are waaaayyyy messed up). Oh and he discovered that I have a bone spurr from my nasal bone that is most likely causing a lot of my headaches because of its location. So, as those of you who actuall read this can see, I am going to be in a tremendous amount of pain. I have been informed that I must not smoke at all after surgery (as if I could after all that sawing and whacking to my nose!), so obviously, I will be quitting which is good because hubby and I wanted to quit before moving to Hawaii anyway. I am just really bummed that after all that pain, agony and general whininess that I'll be going through my nose job won't be evident on the outside. Talk about getting the short end of the scalpel on that one, huh?
Now, onto the rest of my health issues. On Thursday I will find out the pathology on the stuff I had removed last week. I am so hoping all is well and I won't have to have anything else removed for awhile. I do have tons more moles and some suspicious spots that look like the one that wasn't an obvious mole, so I am not getting my hopes too high on that score. I have to go and get a baseline mammogram because I have been having weird stuff happening. Plus, I have to see my GYN and possibly have to have some minor surgery there (I personally want all the plumbing gone I just have so many darned problems with it all). Then there will be a trip north of Raleigh to see an orthopedic specialist about my scoliosis and the degeneration of my spine.
MORAL OF THE STORY -- NEVER EVER PUT OFF FOR TOMORROW WHAT CAN BE DONE TODAY OR YOU WILL BECOME A LAB RAT AND GO THROUGH ENOURMOUS AMOUNTS OF PAIN!!!
Ladies, please keep me in your thoughts - I will be needing all the prayers and good vibes I can get.
TTFN!
