ctealady...Just went throught the same situation with my DS at the wound center. Did not know the Dr. did not accept medicaid payments. The center did but not him. After explaining the situation to him that we could not continue his services there at those prices He adjusted his bill and let us continue at his office at a reduced rate. He sent him a check every month for what he could afford. Gave him a big hug and told him how I appreciated all he has done. We still continue to see him. He has even helped us with seeing other specialists too. There are many places that accept patients on a sliding scale according to their income. Check with your county.
If you can work something out try and do it. You may need his help again.
