I like to cook because for me, it is one of the biggest ways I show love! I love cooking dinners for my husband. He is always so appreciative whether it is a big meal or just sandwiches and soup! I enjoy trying new recipes and do often.
Entertaining family and friends brings me joy as well...everything from tea parties for 2 to family reunions for 40!
I would say our kitchen table is the heart of my family.
We share meals...play dominoes, read the paper, write letters, share feelings and ideas!!!
It is, no doubt, easier for us, since we are a family of 2, but having dinner together every night is very important to me. Most days Mark comes home for lunch so we have that meal together too. We are both on our own for breakfast.
We don't need to look outside ourselves and our homes to find a life. That is a lesson I am still learning. We can make a life right around our own table.
