I have not heard anything but positive about netflix.
We rarely go to the movies except as a treat and that is usually once a year. We tell the children we don't buy all the drinks, popcorn etc. When we went this past month and we had my nieces too (did the matinee) but they wanted to use their own money to buy a coke, popcorn and candy. One decided not to when she realized the time it took to get it and the cost. The other did and I ended up paying some for her and my daughter.
We like going, when we can, to the $1.00 movie they have. Most think it is for the senior citizens but is for anyone. You get in the movie, get a small popcorn, drink for a $l.00. Most of the times a business is there giving away bagels, chicken salad etc too. Unfortunately it is at 1:00 and if the kids are in school I can't go due to pick-ups. We have gone in the summer when it is a movie they kids can see. They are usually all the old classics, such as Murder on the Nile.
