Tom Turkey Pin

Tom Turkey Pin
designed by Shaq of Michaels® in New York

This whimsical wooden turkey pin is fun to make. It's so easy that even the smallest crafters can make one, and a terrific project to make for church bazaars.

You will need:

Aleene's® Tacky Glue
Delta Ceramcoat® Acrylic Paint, Autumn Brown
Delta Ceramcoat® Acrylic Paint, Crocus Yellow
Delta Ceramcoat® Acrylic Paint, Toffee Brown
Delta Ceramcoat® Acrylic Paint, Tomato Spice
Forster® Woodsies Circle, Large
Forster® Woodsies Circles, Small
Forster® Woodsies Stars, Small, 2
Forster® Woodsies Teardrop, Small
Forster® Woodsies Teardrops, Large, 5
Westrim® Wiggle Eyes, 7mm blue, 2
Bar pin
Felt, yellow

What you need: Paint wooden stars with Crocus Yellow and let dry. Wash and dry paintbrush.

Paint large and small wooden circles with Autumn Brown and let dry. Wash and dry paintbrush.

Paint three large teardrops and small teardrop with Tomato Spice and let dry. Wash and dry paintbrush.

Paint two large teardrops with Toffee Brown and let dry. Wash and dry paintbrush.

Glue small teardrop to large circle for neck of turkey. Glue small circle on top of small teardrop for head. Use photo for placement.

Glue large teardrops to back of large circle for feathers (be sure to alternate colors).

Glue stars to bottom of large circle at back for feet.

Glue wiggle eyes in place. Cut a small triangle out of yellow felt for beak. Glue in place.

Glue bar pin to back of turkey.
