Anna, very sorry to hear about your MIL. You and your dh are in my prayers.
joesbaby you have done really, really well. I never seem to find such good bargains.
Worked days the last two days. Not used to that. Usually work evenings.
Had blt's for dinner last night with tomatoes from the garden. The night I was going to have them, the menu changed. We had salmon that dh caught himself. Believe that is frugual. Neighbor across the street has a boat big enough to go out on Lake Michigan with. Dh goes fishing with him whenever possible. Had the pasta salad with that.
Please be patient with those WalMart employees whose store is having a complete remodel.
A remodel is as hard on us as it is on our customers. Yes, we get cranky, We have people asking us where things are and we can only take them to where we last seen it and then find it isn't there. Then try to find somebody who knows where it went.
Our department may be in three different areas of the store. Try to put returns away under those conditions, plus get out the new freight. Especially when the season is changing from summer to fall. Or any season change.
Half the time, we can't find our own stuff because it has been moved and nobody has told us where it is.
We are working short-handed as no new hiring is taking place during a remodel as people have been hired as set-up crews and places then have to be found for them once the remodel is finished.
Sometimes new cashiers have been hired before the remodel began and they have not had the proper training. Time didn't permit it, so they are learning as they go. Cashiering is not easy on computerzied cash registers as there is a lot more to learn than scanning an item.
Customers are impatient and cranky because everything is such a mess and they can't find anything. Often they take it out on us. It's not our fault, we only work there.
We try to do the best we can and we know that very often it is not enough.
We are sorry but we can't do anything more. We can only hope our customers understand and bear with us.
I hope I have not sounded rude as I certainly didn't mean too.
I have been through a hugh remodel and know what it's like. I never want to go through another one.
Some of our customers didn't come back until the remodel was finished as they just couldn't stand it. We understand that and welcomed them back.
I am going to give my new porch a second coat of paint.
Take care everyone.
