Two yrs ago and even last yr my DD has received these letters. And I just got one in the mail for my DS. He is 10 yrs old and in 5th grade. His is also Developmentally Delayed. He is in a special program at school and is still learning the Alphabet.

This letter states that he is invited to travel and study in England, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands in 2006. And he has been recommended for the honor by a teacher, former Student Ambassador or National Academic listing.

And can experience 20 days of rewarding activities all while earning high school and university credit.

The meeting is scheduled for late Sept. I just wish that they would give more info in the letter or on the web site. I haven't considered letting my DD do this at this young age and definitely don't see my DS doing this. I guess the kids are just on some list. It's hard at this age to let my kids stay with friends let alone go out of the country.
