Two yrs ago my DD was invited to join People to People when she received the invitation in the mail. But when I tried to sign her up on the website, she was told she had to wait another yr as she was in 4th grade. The scheduled place to go was Australia for 4 weeks and she really wanted to go.
I wish the website would give more information. It sounds interesting. But 4 weeks out of the country for a 5th grader is a long time. To me, the kids would enjoy it more if they were in high school. The website did say that a parent could go along as a chaperone. But again no prices are mentioned.
My DD is still interested in joining. And every yr they seem to go to different places.
