Hmm, that tax free seems interesting. I guess PA would not participate, as our clothing is not taxed, anyway.

But, while on the subject of school shopping. I would like to remind even those without kids, that now is the time to stock up on pens, pencils, paper, glue and tape. As these items seem to be rather inexpensive right now. My kids love the retractable pencils. I got two packs for $4 at Kmart. When I got to the check out they were not ringing up at the sale price. Luckily the lady knew they were on sale, and got the sale price for me. But, my point is that these pencils are normally $5 for one pack. I think I will go back and get two more packs before the end of the week.

Becky, thanks for sharing your work at home stuff. I was just curious. As I too work from home. I do strickly typing though, it is for a printing company. So, for the most part mine is a 24 hr turn around, so I have to drive there every night, which isn't bad only 20 mins per night round trip. But, they are sending most of our work overseas, and I will have to think of something else to do soon, I think.

I ran out of cigs. yesterday, and had to run to the store for some. When I was there I found reduced carts. I got a blender for $9.50. DD burned ours up last summer, and I was putting off buying one at full price, and I don't see them at the thrift store, and don't use if very often, so I was happy to find one for $9.50. I also bought other items from the reduced cart. Unnecessary items, like those darn gushers for the kids!! Wish I had had my coupons with, as than they would have been nearly free.

Unfrugal will be getting DS's birthday cake. He is turning sweet 16!! My little baby boy!! He does not really care for regular cake, so I splurge and get him and his sister an ice cream cake for their birthdays. Which hers is on Monday, so that will be two ice cream cakes in one weekend. The frugal thing about it is that the ice cream cakes always get completely eaten.
