| Stretch mark "cures"
Hi Ladies!
I was just reading an article in Glamor magazine in a Dr's waiting room. They sent a number of their staffers to dermatologists and plastic surgeons to compare treatments for some common skin issues. One of the problems they addressed was stretch marks. They tested both laser treatments and topical creams (Retin-A type cream and another that I can't remember). Both treatments were expensive and on a grading scale both got D's for lack of measurable results. The dermatologist they interviewed was very candid and said it all boils down to genetics. If your mama had 'em you probably will too, and vise versa. The only good thing was that they found that while they are still in the red stage (fairly new) they do respond somewhat to the Retin A type creams that build new collagen. But there's no guarantee either way. Bummer for me as I am the queen of stretch marks after 3 dear babies!! Love from MN
