Mmm, it sounds like you got some wonderful produce-especially the cherries! Yum! There is nothing like summer fruit and veggies! Yes, ds really does love his job. I think he likes the wide variety of people that come in. And his free movies. lol I don't blame you for using your ac. It is soo hot. Having it on 78* is pretty frugal, though.
Anna, the Miserly Mom's cookbook has a recipe for fruit bars using powdered milk, apple juice, oatmeal and honey, I believe. It is more of a softer bar, with jam (sugar-free works well) in the middle. If you are interested, I would be happy to give you the recipe.
Frugal this afternoon was resisting eating out for lunch and making a tortilla wrap at home instead, using bacon, tomato, avocado, and cheddar cheese with a little flavored mayo. Also, I made more iced tea and homemade cinnamon rolls for later. Take care!
