I really don't have any "strict" formula. I use about half cup Dawn, half cup bleach and the rest water... shake it up in a spray bottle 32 oz. and spray my shower with it after each shower. I really pretty much just eyeball it. Anyways, it self cleans pretty much and NO MILDEW! It takes a few times of doing this but once you get in the habit of spraying, my shower is really clean. It doesn't work as well under the bath mat, UGH!
