I have made pillows from sweaters but.. if you use the soft chenille type sweaters, they wear out very fast. I will use iron on facing material on the back next time. Part of my in the process duvet cover is sweaters. I really need to finish it. I think I have enough material now. I have been collecting material, sweaters, for about three years. It will be animal print, golds, browns, all the material is textured either satin or sweaters or velor.
