Mouse - Measuring iron levels is by two tests, hemoglobin and hematocrit. Hemoglobin measures the concentration of hemoglobin in the cells, hematocrit measures the percentage of red blood cells. Normal ranges:
Hemoglobin - females 12 - 14
- - - - - - - - - - males 13 - 18
Hematocrit - females 38 - 42
- - - - - - - - - males 40 - 48
So you are both fine in terms of iron! Good for you!
About your hair, there can be many reasons for losing hair. One is just the hair growth cycle. Another can be lack of one or more of the micro nutrients. Be sure you are taking a good multivitamin in addition to your other meds! Have your hair checked out by a *good* hairdresser as well as your doc - maybe a referral to a dermatologist? Hairdresser may well have the answers, as docs don't seem to focus on stuff like that!

I dunno why!
Navy - great to hear from you again! We've missed you!
Kimmyo - the house sounds wonderful! Hope y'all can get into it soon!!
Joyce - does E want to drive to Larryville and "do" my yard??!!??

I really need something other than grass mowing done! Maybe E could start his own gardening business! Going around and realizing the dreams people have for their yards, but can't "do" themselves! There's a good living there, if he can do it physically!
Linnea - whenever you need to whine, feel free! This is an "equal whine" thread!!

Sometimes we just need to let off some steam or whine before we can get on with our day and be at least semi-productive!
Today I have to drop off old and pick up new cases at one contractor's office. On the way home, I may stop at Publix and get some ground beef, pork and veal so I can make some meatloaf for DH. He's been groaning that he wants some for a couple of weeks, now, and I was a "bad wife" and just gave him sandwiches for supper last night! Bad, bad, bad! Shame, shame, shame!
6 yo DGS # 9 was rushed in to my house yesterday (by 10 yo DGS #7) with a skint up face from falling off his bike. He's learning impaired from a cerebral hemorrhage when he was a baby (26 weeks gestation at birth, 2# 2oz) (normal gestation is 38-40 wks), and he isn't real coordinated. So I washed him off and gave him some ice cubes to suck on (had a deep cut inside his lip. When his mom got home from the grocery store, she took him in for some stitches. I dunno - it didn't look that bad to me - and it was mucus membrane, not skin, but I guess a few stitches won't hurt. DS was home, but they ran to my house! Guess DGS #7 remembered I was a nurse! Guess it's good to be next door!
Well, gotta get going on the daily tasks, much as I'd prefer to stay here and "chat" on the forums!
Cheerio!
