My DD made a turkey out of a pinecone and colored paper.
They cut the colored paper into feather shapes and on each feather they wrote things that they were thankful for. Then glued the feathers onto the open pinecone on one side. They finished it off by gluing a bent pipecleaner, with a red piece paper glued to it, to the small end of the pinecone.
They also made a tree out of construction paper then everone made different colored leaves from their handprint. They then wrote things they were thankful for and pasted the leaves on the tree.
