My daughter is also 8.5 and is having almost identical problems. She is seeing a psychologist (very slow progress). So far she has not been diagnosed with anything. Our family doctor put her on Paxil, Concerta, and an anti-psychotic drug. None of them have made any difference in her behaviors. Just wondering what drugs your daughter is taking.
