Doris, I'm sorry you've been having personal problems, and hope things go well for you from now on. It's nice to see you posting again.
Rough day at work...and have to do it again tomorrow, sigh! Worst part was when the district manager walked in and there I was, sitting down talking and smoking...you wouldn't believe how fast that cigarette hit the floor, lol. IF he saw it, he didn't say anything about it...whew!!!! He sat down and had something to eat, along with a carryout order for his son, and tipped me $2...guess he wsan't too upset with me, eh? He also told me that he thinks I'm in for an easy winter, because he's thinking about having me train new personel. Um, hate to be the one to burst his bubble, but, training someone is NOT an easy job...and not every one is trainable, either. I think the highlight of my training career was about 20 or so years ago, when the girl I was training stood in front of the pie case, and asked me, "Which one is the apple pie, and which one is the chocolate?!?!?!?!?" She didn't stay with us very long, lol.
Mouse, I do the same thing when I'm reading, even if it's something I'm interested in...I've done it all my life, in fact. It's not so much voices, it's more like I just wander off into my own little fantasy world. I have also burned things...still do, in fact...because I'll wander off to do something else while the potatoes are boiling...or whatever...and then forget about the food, lol. really ticks e. off, too. I don't forget to take the laundry out of the washer and put it in the dryer, nope. I just plain forget to do the laundry. Period. And then can't figure out why I ran out of clean underwear, lol. I do the same thing at work, too...completely forget what I'm doing..even right in the middle of a rush. "Uh, now what was I going to do? Uh oh, I have NO idea whose food this is...uh, uh, uh." Always figured it was just *me,* y'know?
Ok, I'm starting to fade here...like I said, rough evening at work...and didn't make enough money to make it worth it, lol. which reminds me, Mouse...start writing down EVERY cent that you and Jerry spend, even if it's fifty cents for a newspaper. Do that for a month, and then you can see where you go thru all that extra money, and where you can cut down...if you want to cut down, that is.
