Shriner's Burn Units--when my Mom passed away, my hubby's fire department sent a donation in Mom's name to the nearest Shrine's Hospital for burned children----what a thoughtful idea--I was soooo touched. I received a very nice card giving their condolences for my loss but thank you for the donation....
local homeless or women's shelters etc.
many areas have "bike runs" for charity--sponsor a rider

This is just a few that I could come up with--I know there are "zillions" out there....maybe others could post there ideas too.....
If I made a donation for my Sister--I would send her a nice card stating that I made a donation in her name to such & such place to let her know..... |
this is a great idea, but ladies if you do this, please send a note to your secret sister that you done this, as it may take so long for them to get in touch with her that they don't remember which secret sister did it or don't get the information that you did it and they are thinking they have not received from you thier secret sister. so
PLEASE make sure she knows you did...
