Jora and Amy, thank you for your helpful replies
Amy, you asked about how many kids and what age....I have a boy 12, a girl 8 and another boy 2. The chore idea Jora suggested is especially good, because I am trying to help my kids learn how to do basic household things (since I am training them to be independent grownups someday).
I did get a chance to have some "girl time" with my DD yesterday, just running errands with her. I know it means a lot to her when I do that.
All my kids are so special to me, and sometimes they just need some one on one with us so I am glad to do that when I'm able.
