I live in Wisconsin and in this state they have a wonderful program called Badger Care, which is no-cost or low-cost (depending on your income qualifications) for families. Ultimately it is Medicare.
If it weren't for this we would still be without insurance, it's a Godsend! We qualified for the no-cost insurance due to the fact that both my business and my husband's business had a loss for last year.
I'm wondering if there are other states out there that offer this great option? You should look into it and see if your state does and see what the qualifications are. Ours is offered through The Department of Health and Family Services. You may want to look into it!
