Poor Barb!

That sounds awful..

Have you tried Aleve? ( Naprosyn) Or Motrin? Although you can't combine these drugs because they are both NSAID's, you could always take Tylenol in between doses if you needed to. Then there's always the opiods if the pain is really awful.
Some days you gotta do what you gotta do, just so you can DO something!


Unfortunately there is no cure for arthritis.. But once the pain is under control, exercise is great. Using a squeezy-ball to exercise the thumb joint is a good idea. You can soak your hand in hot water to loosten it up. ( I do this every morning anyway...) and then exercise it.. Then ice it after exercise if you feel you need to...


Check with the doc before starting any treatment..you need to know what is wrong. So make an apointment with a rheumatologist.

For arthritis.. these are good things... If it's something else.. then these are not good things LOL!

I hope you feel better soon... This is no fun feeling that way with a toddler to handle!
