Hello Ladies!

We are successfully moved! That's not to say that we have totally unpacked, but we're here and our house is starting to resemble a home. At least the kitchen is all done including the cabinet unit Keith had to make for me so that I had a bank of drawers and a large cabinet to hold my appliances. Our kitchen is huge, but the cabinets are old and tiny with NO drawers. I was freaking out, because I have a ton of kitchen junk and I had no place to put it all. Anyway, this coming weekend we are painting all of Emma's furniture with left over white paint that Wilson (our land lord) gave us. Then we'll start on our bedroom furniture getting around to the living and family rooms last. That stuff looks ok as is, but I want to spruce it up a bit and make it fresh with a coat of paint. I do love our house. It's not huge-huge, but it is the biggest house we've ever lived in and we are way comfortable in the space. We have been sitting down to meals at the table like a real family, something we've never been able to do before. What can I say? This is the happiest I've been since my first year of marriage! The girls started school today, their school is so tiny only one classroom per grade. It's a real rural area and everyone knows everyone. We've already been visited by people from 2 different churches (ok except that I hate drop in visits) and almost everyone in the area knows we're the new family here. It amazes me really.

Sorry to hear about all the illness going around. The only thign going on here is that I have a pesky cold that won't shake loose. I will keep you ladies in my thoughts.

If you are wondering about my nephew, they are preparing my sil & bil for his release from the hospital. They have determined that he doesn't need his trachea and therefore are going to close it. They are doing some very aggressive therapy with him in order to try and wake him from the coma and they will be trying some different type of drug therapies usually used for depression to see if they will stimulate hormones in his brain and help him to come out of the coma. Regardless, he will be going home and receiving full time care there. I was amazed that they would do this, but after I thought about it I decided that by his going home Jerry & vivki and the other 2 children can get on with the business of living and coping in this new way and that it will be good for all of them. I do hope he wakes from his coma but as time goes on I feel there is less and less chance of his recovering fully. Jerry and Vicki are still asking that people keep praying for his full recovery and so that's what I do.

Anyway, I gotta go get something going for dinner (everything is still frozen and I have defrost!) We are having that icky icy rain here with possibility of snow tonight. I have been avoiding going out to my freezer in the shop because the back steps are icy. Oh well, guess I'll have to walk around from the side of the house <sigh>

Have a good day ladies!!
