My two younger kids are in Ballet, piano, football and cub scouts. (dd is in ballet, ds the others) I tried doing some type of music with my oldest three, 2 took piano lessons, one took violin. My 16 yr old wants to play the guitar, but I told him not until his grades are good. It looks like I'll be needing to find a teacher for him next trimester. My oldest dd always wanted to take ballet, she took a class one summer when she was little, but then we either didn't live close to a studio or didn't have the money. I'm not sure I thought it was that important then either. Kind of funny how you change. My youngest dd is such a girly girl, always dancing around the house, dressing up, etc. that I felt like I really needed to put her in dance, and my ds is such a smart little guy, he has just been doing wonderful on the piano. So, anyway, I guess I'm just saying, do what you can do, and do it. I think lessons and classes are great for kids, it teaches them self confidence and builds their talents!
