Carol, just last week I ordered Not Just Beans and Tightwad Gazette (only the 1st volume so far). I also found Miserly Meals at a local bookstore. I'm hoping to get my order this week!! So, eventually I'll get Miserly Moms and the other two volumes of the Tightwad Gazette.
My boy's have eczema as well, and hubby is allergic to everything, so I'm sure this homemade detergent will be great. I was using Tide Free, and only a minimal scoop per load. So, I was spending 8.99 a month. Which, I don't think was too bad, I just felt I could do better.
I am very happy with the homemade detergent so far. I does take getting used to not seeing a suds, but, my clothes are getting clean. I can tell because I have two little boy's and I watch their clothes to see if certain spots get out- and they do!
