Yesterday I bought an Oshkosh onesie-type garment for $2.50 brand new. I saw it on Tuesday, but the store (Gordman's) had big signs that starting Thursday they were having an additional 50% reduction on all clearance merchandise. I saw the little onesie marked down to $5, but figured I'd take a chance and come back. Hooray! So for $2.50 I have a really cute little outfit for a baby gift. I think I already have a suitable gift bag, and seems like I can always scrounge up tissue paper. A 50-cent card from the Dollar Store, and I'm all done.
Today I took my lunch to work. I used to do that all time, but I got burned out on it. I really enjoy lunch much more if I bring it from home. Three reasons: I know I am saving money, I don't have to decide what I'm going to buy, and I know I am eating real food and not junk food.
